Toyota I-Beam Conversion Kit – 1989-1995

$3,850.00

I-beam conversion kit for 1989–1995 Toyota trucks. Moves wheels forward 3.0″ and adds crossover steering with Dana 44 spindle mounts. Includes beams, frame pivots, cross member, radius arms, and passenger steering swinger. Welded to stock frame.

Why Convert a Toyota to I-Beam?

Stock 1989–1995 Toyota trucks use a solid front axle — reliable, simple, and well-proven, but limited in terms of travel and high-speed performance. The I-beam conversion replaces that setup with twin independent beams that cycle through travel independently, dramatically improving ride quality at speed and giving you far more suspension travel than a solid axle setup can achieve.

The GIANT MotorSports approach welds onto your stock Toyota frame — no custom chassis required — and moves the front wheels 3.0″ forward of their stock position. That forward placement creates space for larger tires and improves approach angle without shortening wheelbase.

The Dana 44 Spindle Advantage

This kit mounts Dana 44 spindles on a 5-on-5.5″ bolt pattern — a significant upgrade from the Toyota factory setup. Dana 44 spindles are a proven platform with wide parts availability, stronger bearing capacity than stock, and compatibility with a range of aftermarket hubs and rotors. It also opens up wheel choices that the stock Toyota bolt pattern limits.

Crossover Steering — Included

Crossover steering is part of this kit. The passenger-side steering swinger is included. Crossover geometry eliminates the severe bump steer that would otherwise result from running wider beams at extended track widths — this is what makes the kit driveable at speed, not just capable in slow terrain.

What Is Included

  • I-beams (width of your choice — call to specify)
  • Frame pivots and cross member
  • Radius arms and radius arm pivots
  • Passenger steering swinger

What You Will Also Need

Dana 44 spindles are not included — source them separately (widely available from wrecking yards or aftermarket suppliers). You will also need a compatible tie rod setup, appropriate ball joints for the Dana 44, and front shocks sized to your planned travel. Springs and coilovers are separate. Year Range Matters

The 1989–1995 kit is specific to that chassis. Toyota changed frame geometry between generations — the 1996–2004 and 2005-and-up kits are not interchangeable. Order the kit for your truck exact year range.

Installation

This is a serious fabrication job. The frame pivots and cross member weld onto the stock frame, and geometry setup requires careful measurement to get caster, camber, and toe in range before the truck moves. Plan for a full shop build. If you are doing this yourself, call us before you start and we will walk through the process with you.
